Very nice article! Thanks for sharing. I have been reading a lot about the company recently and it feels that buying shares not only could help me financially but also would make the world a better place :)
The only caveat that I saw in your thesis buying at $140 was seeing the young President & CEO selling shares at that price and even above repeatedly during this year; not sure your thoughts on this.
Now is definitely giving a clearer buying opportunity at ~$85.
About the selling, to be honest, I really do not care about it. He owns shares of a company up +900% in 4 years; it's entirely normal to take profits after years of hard work. I really don't look at or am concerned about this.
I still believe the stock was a good deal around $140 as long as one has a very long-term view, as I explained. It sure is a much better deal now, and I have the same feeling of buying a good company, not only in terms of potential returns but in terms of purpose. It's always good.
Now there are some justified concerns at the moment in terms of market shares & growth, but it's mostly noise in my opinion, again, as long as one intends to hold for years and not just a few quarters. Thesis still holds, still strong.
I'm slowly buying, building a position but I'll wait for a strong price action to push in most of my liquidity. I'll talk about this this week-end on the weekly :)!
Yeap, we all know the selling shouldn't be taken seriously in every case, so I agree with you. Thesis is strong and I agree the market has overreacted. I found it a bit expensive before but now looks much more attractive notwithstanding the overall uncertainty going on in the markets, which makes me very careful when buying recently.
Can't wait to read your next post about the company!
