Your returns aren’t tied to the sector you trade.
Most investors won’t look outside tech, like there’s a silent rule that only tech can return big. It isn’t true. Half the stocks that returned 70%+ over the last six months weren’t tech, and ~60% of the 70%+ names YTD sat outside it. While tech ranged and sold off these past weeks, names like Crocs and Victoria’s Secret were the best performers post-breakout.
Returns come from risk/reward and size, not sector. A large position in a name that returns above average at minimal risk is the only setup you need to beat the S&P 500, whatever sector it’s in. Every stock is a buy at a price; what decides your performance is when you buy it and how big.
So today we go outside tech. Two names worth buying. I’m leaving the gambling and the volatility to others to focus on real risk management with comparable upside.
Size and timing matter more than picking.
